How it works?

1

Unbox & warm it up

Knead the clay in your hands for a minute until it's soft and ready to shape.

2

Shape your blob

Pinch, roll and press with your hands, then use the spatula for the fine details.

3

Let it air-dry

Leave it out on the mat for a day or two, depending on the size of your finished piece. No kiln, no oven, no waiting on a class schedule.

4

Paint & seal

Finish with the included paints and varnish for a lasting glaze-like sheen.

What's inside the kit?

Air-dry clay

Soft, forgiving clay that hardens on its own. No oven, no kiln, no firing schedule.

Sculpting tools

5 sculpting tools, a rolling pin, and a sponge. Everything you need to shape, smooth, and add the little details that give your blob its personality.

Step-by-step guide

Illustrated instructions made for total beginners. Follow along, or go off-script.

Paint palette & brush

A simple paint palette and brush to give your blob its colors, its face, and its personality.

Sandpaper & Gloss Varnish

Fine sandpaper to smooth the finished piece, plus gloss varnish to give it a glow. The finishing steps that make your blob shine.

What you could make?

Let's clear a few things up...

Do I really not need a kiln or oven?

That's right. The clay in this kit is a self-hardening, air-dry formula. Leave your piece out at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours and it sets on its own. No firing, no special equipment.

Can I eat or drink from my creations?

No. Da-Blob pieces are for display, not for food or drink. The clay and paint aren't food-safe, so stick to holding photos, trinkets, or other dry items, nothing you'll eat or drink from.

What can I make with my kit?

Whatever you can picture. Some ideas to get you started: photo frames, trinket dishes, plant pots, keychain charms, candle holders. First-timers usually start with something small and build confidence from there.

How many items can I make with one kit?

One kit gives you 500g of clay, enough for around 2 to 3 average-sized pieces, like a photo frame plus a couple of smaller trinkets. The exact count depends on how big you go with each piece.

How long does one kit actually take?

Shaping takes about 30 to 60 minutes. Then the clay air-dries for about a day before you paint and seal it. You don't need to sit and watch it happen.
